What we collect
When you run an AI visibility check, we process:
- The website address you enter, and the publicly accessible content we retrieve from it — homepage, robots.txt and sitemap.xml.
- The business details you confirm: business name, industry, primary market, products or services, target customers and any competitors you name.
- The assessment we generate: website signals, the question library, any AI answers observed, component scores and recommendations.
- Standard technical data from your visit, such as IP address and user agent, as part of ordinary web serving and abuse prevention.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive personal information. Please do not enter any into the check form.
Where your check is stored
In the current version, a free check is held in your browser's session storage for the duration of your visit and is cleared when you close the tab. It is sent to our server to be analysed, but a free check is not written to a persistent database unless you purchase a report or create an account.
Third parties we send data to
- Your own website — we request public pages from it, identifying ourselves in the user agent.
- AI platform providers, where those integrations are enabled for this deployment. Your buyer questions and business name are sent as prompts. Review each provider's own data handling terms; providers differ in whether API traffic is retained or used for training.
- Stripe, if you purchase a report. Payment details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Hosting and analytics providers used to serve and measure the site.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Analytics
If Google Analytics is enabled for this deployment, it is configured with IP anonymisation. It tells us which pages are used; it is not used to build profiles of individuals.
Retention
Free check data is transient. Purchased reports and the business details behind them are retained so that you can return to them and so that future checks can be compared against them. Ask us to delete them at any time and we will.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or complain about how we have handled it. Write to hello@aisays.io and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Cookies
The application itself uses browser session storage rather than tracking cookies to hold your in-progress check. Analytics, where enabled, sets its own cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page rather than updating it quietly.
